The short answer
A live psychic reading costs somewhere between about $40 and $200 for most people, and how much you actually pay depends less on the advisor than on how the site bills you. Some run a clock. Some sell packages. Some, like us, charge one flat price you see before you pay. The number on the ad is rarely the number on your card, so it is worth understanding the three models before you choose one.
How most psychic sites charge
The running clock. The big psychic marketplaces bill by the minute. Advertised prices start low, but the advisors people actually want to talk to commonly run several dollars a minute, and the popular ones more. That sounds small until you do the arithmetic: a 20-minute reading at those numbers lands near or above $100, and the total is unknown until you hang up. Introductory offers exist, but they are designed to end right as the advisor is getting somewhere.
The phone line with packages. Older psychic hotlines sell blocks of minutes up front. You buy a package, the minutes are drawn down as you talk, and whatever is left sits in an account you may or may not use. The cost is more predictable than a running clock, but you are paying for time you have not used yet, and refunds usually come back as credit, not cash.
The flat-fee independent. Advisors who work on their own, through a personal website or a local shop, usually charge a fixed price for a fixed length. Typically $50 to $200 for 30 to 60 minutes, sometimes more for an established reader. The price is honest. The trade is that you are choosing one person on faith, with no one standing behind the reading if it misses.
What a reading costs here

These are the standard daytime prices. Prime evening hours run a few dollars more, and late nights, when fewer advisors keep the line, can run a little higher still. Every price is on the calendar before you choose. You never find out what an hour costs after the hour.
A $2 booking fee is shown at checkout, next to the price, before you enter a card. It is the only fee.
The optional extras
Two things can be added at checkout, and both are exactly what they sound like.
Keep a recording of your reading, $14. Your reading, recorded with a written summary, made for you to keep.
A written Compatibility Report, $12. A written report on the two of you, delivered after your reading, with a note from your advisor. For when the question was a person.
Neither is required. If you skip both, nothing on the page changes.
If you would rather not have a call
Text and taped video readings start at $29. You send your question, an advisor answers in writing or records a video reading for you on their own time, and you have it to read or watch whenever you like. The same small circle of advisors makes them, and the same guarantee covers them.
Adding time
If there is more to talk about at the end of your session, you can add time with one tap, and the price is shown first. That is the whole mechanism. There is no clock that keeps going, no minute that bills itself, no charge that shows up later. If you do not tap, the reading ends cleanly at the length you paid for.
Why flat beats a running clock
It is not only that flat is cheaper, though for most readings it is. It is what the clock does to the reading.
When you are paying by the minute, you can feel it. You talk faster. You skip the detail that would have mattered. You do not let a silence sit, and a good reading has silences in it. On the other end, the advisor knows exactly what every extra minute is worth, and the reading bends toward that, whether anyone intends it or not.
When the price is flat and paid, that pressure is gone from both sides. You can think. You can ask the follow-up. The advisor is working the question, not watching a timer.
