Here is the shape of it. You booked a length: The Question, The Reading, The Deep Dive or The Hour. The reading runs for that length. The final minute is signalled, so the end never surprises you and you are not cut off mid-sentence without warning. If you want to keep going, the price is shown, and one tap adds the time. If you do not tap, the reading ends cleanly at the length you paid for, and no charge shows up later.
There is no running clock behind any of it. A reading is a flat price, and added time is another flat price you chose in the moment, with the number in front of you first.
Should you add time?
Sometimes, and the test is simple: is there a question still open that you came with, or one that surfaced during the reading and matters more? If yes, add time. If the reading has reached its natural end and you are adding time to be polite, don't. A good advisor will tell you honestly when the reading is done, and there is no pressure here to add time: professional conduct is part of what the guarantee covers.

If the reading missed
Time you added is covered the same way as the rest. If you added time at the end and the whole reading missed, the whole reading is what the guarantee covers.
