Bring one question
The single most useful thing you can do before a reading is decide what you are actually asking. Not the five things on your mind. The one. It is almost always the thing you keep circling back to at two in the morning, and you know what it is.
Say it plainly. "What is really going on with him" is a better question than "will we end up together," and both are better than "tell me about my love life." The narrower the door, the more the advisor can see through it.
Questions that work
Open questions about a situation. What am I not seeing about this relationship. What is he feeling that he is not saying. What is really behind the tension at work. These give an advisor a live situation to read, and the answers tend to be the most accurate part of any reading.
Questions about your own next move. What do I need to know before I decide. What would I be walking away from if I left. Where is this heading if nothing changes. These are the questions that produce clarity, because the answer is something you can act on.
Questions for someone you have lost, if you are seeing a medium. Is she at peace. Did he know. What does she want me to hear. Bring the person to mind and let the medium do the rest.
Questions about a pattern. Why does this keep happening to me. What am I doing that I cannot see. Advisors see patterns across many lives, and this is where that is worth the most.
Questions that disappoint
Yes-or-no questions. "Will he come back" gives an advisor one bit to work with and hands you a coin toss. Ask instead what is going on with him and what you should know, and you will usually get the yes or no anyway, with the reasons attached.
Exact dates. When will I meet someone. When will the money come. Timelines are the least reliable thing in any reading. Ask about the path and hold the date loosely.
Tests. Some people ask nothing and wait to see what the advisor produces. It is your reading and your money, but a cold start wastes the first five minutes, and the reading is better when the advisor is working your question instead of guessing it.
Questions that need a professional. A reading is not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice. If the question is really one for a doctor or a lawyer, ask them, and bring the psychic the part that is about you.
