What an advisor can sense
Advisors get this question often, and it is usually asked by someone who already feels that something is off. What a reading can do is speak to that feeling. An advisor may sense distance, secrecy, a third presence, or simply that the other person is somewhere else in their head. They may also sense the opposite: that the distance is stress, or grief, or something that has nothing to do with another person. The good ones will tell you honestly either way, including when what they sense is not what you feared.
That honesty is worth a lot. Many people come to a reading half convinced and leave with a more accurate picture, in one direction or the other.
What a reading cannot give you
Proof. A reading is not evidence, and no advisor can tell you with certainty what someone did last Thursday. If you accuse a partner based on a reading alone, you are staking a relationship on an impression, and if the impression was wrong, you have done real harm for nothing. If it was right, you still have no more than you started with.
Be cautious with any reading that hands you a confident verdict on this. A good advisor is honest about what they sense and honest about the limits of it. They are reading the relationship, not running an investigation on a person who is not there.
The more useful question
Underneath "is he cheating" there is nearly always "why do I feel like this, and what do I do." Those are questions a reading can help with, because they are yours.
An advisor can help you separate what your instincts are picking up from what old hurt is projecting. They can show you the pattern in the relationship: whether trust was thin before this, whether you have been here before with someone else, whether the thing you are afraid of is really the thing that is wrong. And they can help you see your real choices, which usually come down to a conversation you have been avoiding.
Then look at what you can actually know. A reading can point you toward a question worth asking your partner. It should not replace asking it.
