What refunds usually look like
Across the industry, refunds are the exception. There are three common situations.
Independent readers. Most treat a reading as a service delivered. The time was spent, so the money is kept. Some will offer a partial refund or a second session if something clearly went wrong, but it is at their discretion and rarely written down.
Large marketplaces. Sites that list thousands of advisors usually say that the reading is between you and the advisor. If they refund at all, it is often a limited amount, on a first reading only, and it comes back as credit you can spend only on the same site. That is not a refund. That is a reason to come back.
Phone lines with minute packages. Unused minutes may sit in an account. Getting cash back for them is usually hard, and a reading that missed is not usually treated as refundable at all.
The honest summary: ask before you pay, and if the answer is vague, assume the answer is no.
What a refund should and should not cover
A refund cannot fairly cover outcomes. No advisor in the world is right all the time, and a reading that told you something true you did not want to hear did its job. What a refund should cover is the reading itself: whether the advisor was prepared, engaged your actual question, behaved professionally, and whether the connection held. If any of those failed, you should not be paying.
That distinction matters because a site that promises to refund you if a prediction does not come true is promising something no one can honestly deliver.
